The PHOTOSYSTEM project, which is based on FRS SDK, was implemented in the Republic of Kazakhstan in March 2003. The aim of the project is the identification of people who are of special interest to law enforcement agencies during the process of issuing documents to citizens.

Asia Software performed a series of practical tests on the system during operational search activities of the police subdivisions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. From the very first day, the use of the OBRAZ ++ biometric system showed practical results that increased the number of detection as a result of which leading specialists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan placed high value on the system. The implementation of a similar system named SOVA began simultaneously in 3 branches of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in 2003. Presently, OBRAZ ++ (SOVA) is playing a significant role in law enforcement agency operations both in Kazakhstan and Russia.

The system is intended for registration and the control of migration processes; leading to high effectiveness of law-enforcement agencies, prevention of illegal migration, formation of databases of photo images of foreigners and people without citizenship, the update of databases of wanted individuals who have violated migration laws of the country, the recognition by search and detection divisions of wanted criminals and individuals who are of strategic interest to law-enforcement agencies, establishing information on individuals who concealed their personal data.
Visa-Migration Control intends to provide the safe control of migration laws, applied to the citizens of the country as well as to the citizens of other countries.
